Dreamy Pitaya Spinach Protein Smoothie

When you throw greens into your blender to make a green smoothie, generally the outcome isn't bright fuschia, but that's just because you're not following this recipe by Ksenia of Breakfast Criminals. An abundance of magical magenta-toned smoothie and smoothie bowl recipes can be found on her blog, thanks to dragon fruit, otherwise known as pitaya - a flashy anti-inflammatory super fruit full of fiber, antioxidants, vitamin C, magnesium, omegas and plenty of pretty pink pigment!


1.5 cups almond milk
2 Dragonfruit smoothie packs
1 ripe banana (fresh or frozen)
1 cup spinach
1/2 avocado
2 tbs. raw cocoa
2 tbs. raw cacao nibs
2 scoops plant protein of your choice (I recommend vanilla flavor for this one)
Optional: 1 tbs. chlorophyll for even more alkalizing effect


1 tbs. cacao nibs
handful raspberries


Blend until smooth, garnish, and enjoy with love!
